about

I wrote this song after watching an episode of COPS that was filmed in Pittsburgh, out on our beautiful historic main streets. I really hated watching local tragedies unfold from behind the cold lens of a national TV show. Presented without context, with no sense of personal history.

So I wrote this song about and for our beloved main streets and the lives that have played out upon them over time. I wanted it to have an Irish arrangement and instrumentation. I feel there is a thread of the Irish American experience running through it.

It's a song for the ones who lost their way.

Many thanks to Danny Rectenwald, Conor Freeland, Stephanie Green, Trish Imbrogno, Chet Vincent, and Jake Hanner for lending their tremendous talents. Artwork by Josh Carter.
